After receiving an MSME from Michigan Technological University in 1990, I was employed as an engineer for nearly 20 years, working for companies such as Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI), Engineered Machined Products (Escanaba, MI), and GS Engineering (Houghton, MI).

To be truly successful, an engineer must be as skilled with a pen as he is with a calculator to handle the extensive documentation requirements, as well as the demands of general business communication. Involved as the primary or contributing author, I played a role in the development of documents of many types, including engineering specifications, product manuals, military funding proposals, advertising materials, and white papers, all of which provided a unique opportunity to perfect my writing skills and to learn how to write for a variety of different audiences. After making the decision to strike out on my own, Page-by-Page Writing Services was launched in 2009 to provide document creation services to businesses and organizations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

My family and I reside in the city of Houghton, MI, though we spend as much time as our busy schedules allow in our many favorite places throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula. Our favorite family activities include camping, snowshoeing, fishing, and agate hunting.
